  • Leather can be embossed with a stamping tool and hammer to create indentations that, as a whole, result in a pattern or image. Not every type of leather can be hallmarked. This process can only be used on leather that is vegetable-tanned and otherwise untreated.

    Above all, these free forms are very time-consuming, as the pattern is designed, sketched on the leather, cut and, in an elaborate manual work, hammered into the leather with various stamps and decorated with structured irons.
